The Nature Conservancy and the Escalante River Watershed Partnership of Utah are working together to protect the Escalante River, which is the last undammed tributary of the Colorado River. The Escalante runs for approximately 90 miles, starting at 11,000 feet in elevation and flowing down to 3,600 feet at Lake Powell.
